Contract staffing in Malaysia, backed by 24+ years of regional heritage
Contract hiring in Malaysia is rarely just about finding hands quickly. A fixed-term employee here carries the same statutory obligations as a permanent one: EPF and SOCSO from the first payroll run, EIS, monthly tax deductions to LHDN, and Employment Act entitlements that reach a far wider band of staff than most employers assume. Get the contract type or the notice wrong and a short deployment becomes a long dispute. We employ the worker through People Profilers (Services) Sdn. Bhd. and carry all of that, while your managers direct the work. It suits peak season in a Klang Valley distribution centre, a six-month project team in Penang, or cover for parental leave that needs to start in a fortnight.
How the billing rate works
Every deployment is priced as one billing rate: the worker's salary, every employer statutory contribution, the leave provision and our margin, combined into a single figure and documented in the engagement letter before anyone starts. Monthly for deployments of three months and above, hourly for shorter peaks. There is no separate statutory invoice at month end.
Monthly Billing Rate
- ✓Salary, statutory, and margin in one rate
- ✓Includes employer EPF, SOCSO, EIS and the HRD Corp levy
- ✓Statutory leave provisions covered
- ✓Suitable for deployments three months and above
Hourly Billing Rate
- ✓For short-term, project-based, or peak-season deployments
- ✓Same statutory cost inclusions as monthly
- ✓Transparent hourly rate, no hidden costs
- ✓Suitable for deployments under three months
Conversion Option
- ✓Engage a deployed contractor as your direct employee
- ✓Conversion fee documented before deployment begins
- ✓Calculated on deployment duration completed
- ✓Standard market protection, agreed upfront
Every deployment includes statutory cost coverage and a Minimum Engagement Period. A Conversion Fee applies if you take a deployed contractor onto your own payroll during the Introduction Validity Period set out in the engagement letter.
What makes a Malaysian contract engagement work
Three things separate a contract deployment that runs quietly from one that eats your line managers' time.
A brief scoped to the actual work
Contract roles fail most often because the brief was a permanent job description with an end date bolted on. We scope the deliverable, the shift pattern, the site, and what competence looks like in the first fortnight, so the person who turns up can do the job on day one rather than week three.
One rate, statutory included
Employer EPF, SOCSO, EIS and the HRD Corp levy are all real costs, and quoting a headline salary without them is how contract budgets get blown. Our billing rate carries every statutory contribution and the leave provision in a single figure agreed in writing before anyone deploys, so what you approve is what you pay.
An exit that is planned, not improvised
Ending a fixed-term contract early in Malaysia is not simply a matter of stopping the timesheet. Notice, accrued leave and any termination benefit depend on how the contract was written at the start. We set extension, conversion and early-release terms in the engagement letter on day one, so ending or extending a deployment is an administrative step rather than a negotiation.
ENGAGEMENT MODEL
You direct the work day to day. We stay the legal employer.
EPF, SOCSO and EIS carried by us · Extensions and early release handled to Employment Act notice · Built for project ramps, peak season and leave cover

Demand concentrates around Klang Valley distribution and shared services, Penang and Kulim electronics, and Johor manufacturing and logistics.
For technology-specific contract talent see our IT Staff Augmentation practice. For permanent placements see our General Recruitment practice.
How is your billing rate calculated?
One figure per worker, monthly or hourly, combining the contractor's salary, every employer statutory contribution (EPF, SOCSO, EIS and the HRD Corp levy), the statutory leave provision and our margin. Nothing is invoiced separately at month end, and the rate is fixed in the engagement letter before deployment so your cost centre sees one predictable line.
What's the Conversion Fee if we hire a contractor permanently?
A Conversion Fee applies if you wish to engage a deployed contractor as your direct employee during the deployment period or within the Introduction Validity Period defined in your engagement letter. The fee structure is documented before deployment begins and is typically calculated based on remaining deployment duration.
There are no hidden conversion penalties - terms are agreed upfront so you can make conversion decisions with full visibility on the commercial.
How quickly can you deploy contract workers?
For operations, warehouse, customer service and administrative roles in the Klang Valley, typically one to two weeks from brief to first day. Penang and Johor sites usually run at the same pace. Technical and specialist roles take three to four weeks, and longer where the skill is concentrated in one cluster and the commute matters.
If the role needs a foreign hire, an approved work pass has to be in place before the first day, and we will say so at briefing rather than after you have picked someone.
